Alison Moyet working on new material
Alison Moyet is finally working on new material for an album to follow the six year old Other album.
It’s been a long six years since we last heard new material from Alison Moyet on the Other album. But there is light at the end of the tunnel. In a new post on X (the social media formerly known as Twitter), she tells that she is working on new material. “Currently songwriting …”, she writes.
Hopefully this will end up in a new album. Her latest album, Other, was released on 16 June 2017. It was her first album of new material since 2013’s The Minutes.
Since her latest release, Alison has received a degree in Fine Art Printmaking from the University of Brighton. How cool is that? In her tweet, Alison shares an etching made during her final year.
As this is probably very early in Alisons process, there are no information whether studio sessions has been planned yet. Or whether Guy Sigsworth will reprise his role as producer.
